Solution Systems, Inc.
Organization & Operation
Solution Systems was formed in 1990 with the express purpose of
developing commercially viable information system products for
specific target groups. Solution Systems is the parent company and
retains overall responsibility for product definition, development and
marketing, and information management. Consequently, the tasks
performed by Solution Systems employees are:
o Requirements/Systems Analysis & A spec preparation,
o Database and information management specification,
o Computer based instruction (CBI) definition
o Project planning & project management,
o Information research and acquisition, database building, and
information processing and product design,
o Host hardware and database system maintenance
o Technological Forecasting.
Delivery of a commercially viable information product often requires
the design and development of innovative communication and software
systems that provide easy access by the target group end users to the
information products. In recognition of this need, Solution Systems
formed The Solution Wrks, Inc. with the express purpose of designing
and developing stand-alone and front-end software systems that support
information management and access. Consequently, the tasks performed
by The Solution Wrks employees are:
o Systems Analysis & B, and C spec preparation
o Programming and testing
o System integration & testing
o Database design, building, programming & testing
o CBI system design, programming and testing
o Application installation and User Manual preparation
o Product description and packaging
o Technological research, model design and reporting.
To accomplish these tasks Solution Wrks staff use state-of-the-art
CASE methods, Object Based, Object Oriented, Artificial Intelligence
and Fuzzy Logic techniques. Systems are developed for IBM PC
XT/AT/386/486/Pent and compatible platforms. While the predominant
software development and runtime system used is Framework and the FRED
programming language, other systems are also employed when appropriate.

o Dbase, Rbase, Fbase, & Oracle
o Smalltalk
o Applause, MS Publisher
o "C", Pascal, DOS, Assembler, HTML, Java
The Product Line
Solution Systems began its product line development with The Match the
Hatch Assistant. This is a Colorado trout angler's information system
which functions as a stand-alone system and a front end to a host
information system. The system provides Colorado trout anglers with
baseline and current information required for successful trout fishing
